This stacking bookcase was manufactured by The Globe Company prior to 1882. The wood is mahogany and has the original finish with years of beautiful patina. Glass fronts, There are three cases that stack onto a base, each cabinet is 16.5 x 17 x 17". There is also a top piece and a total of 51" tall. The original key locks the top case and the bottom two open by pushing a button next to the brass knob. I was told it is from a doctor's office, very rare size.
