Lovely vintage Corning ware Blue Cornflower casserole dish measures 6½” (wide not including the handles) by 3½” tall (without the lid on).
It is in good vintage condition. There are no chips or cracks. Some metal marks on the outside. The lid has a spot that is scuffed / worn but is smooth and some small chips/ roughness along the edges in some spots. Please see photos with zoom feature for better detail.
Corning Ware was developed in the late 1950s by Corning which was made of a material called Pyroceram which is a mixture of ceramic and glass. It is much more tolerant of sudden temperature changes than regular glass or ceramic alone.
